Begin Serving & Join a Volunteer Team at Journey Church

Below is a list of volunteer teams and a short description about the expectations for all of our locations. If you know what team you'd like to join, please click the appropriate button at the bottom of the list to send your information to a team leader. The appropriate ministry team leader will then get in contact with you regarding your area of interest. If you have any questions, please reach out to a pastor.


Fremont

Greeters - Help people feel the love of God by welcoming them as individuals, escorting them to classrooms, and introducing them to others.

Safety Team - Assist on Sunday mornings by being available to respond to emergencies and help lead people to seats. 

Prayer Team - Be available to pray for individuals immediately following the worship service.

Journey Kids Nursery Caregiver - Provide comforting and nurturing care once a month to young children (ages 0 - 3) of parents who attend worship services.

Journey Kids JR Volunteer Team - Use provided curriculum and creatively lead ministry to children between 3 years - Kindergarten. 

Journey Kids Elementary Leader - Use provided curriculum and creatively lead ministry to children between 1st - 5th grades.

Journey Kids Elementary Helper - Assist the teacher in supervision, care, and education of children between 1st - 5th grades.

Journey Kids Central Registration Check-In Team - Help us reduce congestion in the kids rooms by being a part of a team that is leading kids check-in.

Youth Ministry Team Member - Commit weekly to attending and ministering to 6th - 12th grade students on Tuesday nights.

Welcome Phone Calls - Use your conversation skills and connecting personality to welcome new people to the church by giving them a phone call within 48 hours of their first visit.

Volunteer Receptionist / Office Aid - Assist the pastoral staff during regular office hours midweek by performing general office secretarial duties. Ability to commit to the same time block each week is preferred. Proficiency with computer programs and office suite helpful.

Connections Organizer - Process connection cards and record all information in our church database. Proficiency with computer programs and office suite required.

Computer Presentation (Computer Media) - Learn and operate the presentation software and record the sermon during service. Lots of experience w/ computers required.

Sound Crew - Set, control, and manage the sound levels during the worship service.

Video Production - Looking for experienced individuals to create, shoot, edit videos of services, church events, and interviews.

Baptismal Set-Up & Tear Down - Needing two individuals to help set-up the baptismal tank. Set-up on Saturday and tear-down on Sunday or Monday. Approximately 6 baptism services each year.

Bellevue

Journey Kids JR (0-4) Teacher - Use provided curriculum and creatively lead ministry to children between newborns - 4 years old. 

Journey Kids (5-11) Helper - Assist the teacher in supervision, care, and education of children between K - 5th grades.

Journey Kids (5-11) Teacher - Use provided curriculum and creatively lead ministry to children between K - 5th grades.

Computer Presentation (Computer Media) - Learn and operate the presentation software and record the sermon during service. Lots of experience w/ computers required.

Road Sign Set-Up & Tear Down - Set up the signs as early as possible on Sundays and, as soon as service is over, grab the signs and bring them back to the hall for storage.

Oak HArbor

Set-Up Team Meal Coordinator - Church will foot the bill. Can you coordinate, order, and pick-up the meals (or cook if that’s your thing) for the set-up team to be ready by 4:30pm on Sundays? 

Set-Up Team - You know you’ll get a free meal! Help week to week with set-up of the various rooms. 

Tear Down Team - Maybe you can’t come early, but can you stay after? Help by tearing down the needed items to fit for the mid-week usage of the rental hall. 

Set-Up & Tear Down Team Leader - Have a knack for organization, logistics, and good communication skills? Stay in weekly contact with community markets to plan tear down needs. Also, stay in weekly contact and schedule the set-up and tear-down team members. 

Coffee & Café Table - Set-up and tear-down the café table. Brew the coffee. Set-out the refreshments.
